I was pretty excited to have the chance to review this book:

I'd read How to Manage Your Home Without Losing Your Mind when I happened across it on my library's shelf and found myself constantly cracking up at author Dana White's stories.

I loved her whole take on the "deslobification process," which had me heading over to her A Slob Comes Clean blog to find out what other fabulous terms she'd come up with.

So I was super-jazzed to read her latest book when it arrived. It didn't disappoint me at all -- had me laughing just as much as the first one, but also motivated me to chuck my stuff like never before.

I'd read this popular book after hearing everyone rave about it a few years ago, but while I didn't hate it, a lot of the suggestions were just not "my thing."

I had no desire (or the time -- or the space!) to take everything out, hold it and converse with it before deciding whether it brought me enough joy to keep or not.

Decluttering at the Speed of Life, however, was right up my alley. Dana comes across as a very real person with very real clutter issues and makes the point that organizing and decluttering are not the same thing.

She provides plenty of amusing anecdotes about her own deslobification process as well as practical tips for what real-life decluttering should be about.

Her room-by-room strategies will transform your home as you re-evaluate the way you think about the stuff that takes up space and overcome the emotional challenges that make it difficult to let items go -- all without complicated systems, charts, or checklists!

If you want to go full-on minimalist, or just get rid of some of your stuff, or just read something funny and motivating, then grab a copy of this book.
