It's time for another round of 5 After 5!  In case you missed it, last week's list was 5 pets that you've had and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here.

Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.

And if you've posted your own 5 After 5 list on your blog, I've turned this series into a link party - so be sure to get your own 5 things added below (or leave your answers in today's comments if you're not a blogger).  I loved reading everyone's comments from last week and I really can't wait to see what you share today!

List 5 Beautiful Places You've Been

Gee whiz, what kind of crazy was I thinking in coming up with this topic?  I guess what was in my brain was, "Oh, I've been to lots of beautiful places, so this will be an easy post to do."

Wrong.  The problem is, I've been to so many beautiful places, I had an incredibly difficult time narrowing down this list to just five.

Whittle I did, though, and I've even put them in ascending order - so that means my #5 is really my #1.

I also realized that I can easily waste away an entire afternoon looking through travel photographs...Gv's actually built an entire compound on the floor in the family room for all of her stuffed animals, with each one tucked into a baby blanket and with a book at their side.  Poor girl.  I'd better go read her a book or something...

1.  The Smoky Mountains

They might not be the most majestic peaks around, but there's certainly something beautiful about a sunset view from an isolated mountaintop in the midst of this rainforest range.

2.  Tulip Fields in The Netherlands

It's pretty much impossible for a photo to convey the explosion of color that stretches as far as the eye can see, but if you look carefully, you'll find that this little sliver of a view showcases row upon row of vibrant blooms - every line of color is a different type of tulip!

3.  The Bavarian Alps

When your visit is filled with constant flurries of snow swirling around your head, you're lucky to be able to make out anything in any photo you take.  A glimpse of Neuschwanstein Castle is all this picture affords, but the imposing mountain views surrounding the photographer were almost too beautiful to describe.  I could go back here to wander the local mountain paths again and again.

4.  The Amalfi Coast

You don't have to have a belly full of pasta or a wine glass in your hand to appreciate the beauty of this spot.  It does, however, add to the experience greatly to loll about with a simple picnic of wine, cheese, and fresh bread while perched over these aquamarine waters.

5.  Lake Bled

Hands down, this is easily the most beautiful place I've been.  And yes, this photo is real.  Just ask G - the most patient man on all the earth who, while strolling around the lake with a wife who stopped every five inches to "take a picture from this view, because it's even more amazing than the last" agreed to take future trips to destinations such as this, despite the realization that he'd not be able to walk a foot without another pause to "capture this one!"

For next week:

List 5 Book Series That You Loved as a Child

I'm pretty sure I'll regret choosing this topic when I try and narrow down my list to write my post next week, but since I can already think of at least four of these that top my all-time favorites list, I'm feeling pretty confident it will be easier than today.

I can't wait to see what yours will be!

What's your list?  I'd love to hear!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.

I'm glad you liked my list, Karen, as well as my Lake Bled photo. I never would have guessed that Slovenia could be so beautiful, but boy, was it ever! Thanks so much for stopping by to say hey and I hope you visit again soon!
These ARE beautiful places! And I haven't been to any of them, so thanks for sharing! I am totally that wife who stops every five inches to take a picture. "But it's a different angle, honey!" Ha ha :) What a fun series!

Hooray for another "it's a different angle" picture-taker! I'm glad you enjoyed my beautiful places and this series - I hope to see you around these parts again soon and that you have a fantastic weekend!

You are quite the traveler! I loved seeing your photos. Some day I hope to see the tulip fields in the Netherlands in person.

I love to travel, Carol! I'm glad you enjoyed the photos and I sure hope you make it to the tulip fields some day, because they are just incredible! I'm so glad you stopped by to say hi today and I hope I see you around here again soon!
Beautiful photos. I visited Neuschwanstein castle jus last summer and Bled was once a part of my home country :) Found you on Home Matters party and would like to invite you to share these gorgeous images at Thursday Favorite Things blog hop (doors are still open). Happy Friday!

How neat that you're from that part of the world! I would like to return to Schwanstein in the summer, as I'm sure the greenery is just amazing. Thanks so much for the invitation to your blog hop and for taking the time to say hello today! It was great to meet you, Jas and I hope to see you around here again!

Even though I've been all over Belgium, I've actually never been to Bruges. I've had several people tell me it's a beautiful city, though. My parents took an Alaskan cruise last year and the pictures were gorgeous! We were at Lake Bled in early March and it was beautiful. I hope you get to check that one off your list soon! Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your list and I hope to see you again here soon!
Like you it's hard to pick. Hawaii was beautiful and I feel so lucky that I was able to go, so that's #1. Thanks for sharing at the #HomeMattersParty

Although I definitely would like to go to Hawaii some day (I'm one of those crazies who gets a kick out of marking things off a list and so I'm hoping to visit all the states and provinces at some point), I'm not sure if it's as high on my list as some of the other areas I haven't seen. If it's that beautiful, though, I might just have to move it higher on my list! Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello and share a beautiful place you've been!
I totally agree with the Swiss Alps! The other places look beautiful too. I think I would add Maui! Gorgeous! Great list series! I love it!

Deb, have you spent much time on the ground in the Swiss Alps? I've just flown over them, but have Chamonix on my list (I know that's in France, but it's pretty darn close to Switzerland). You're the second person who's mentioned Hawaii; it must be amazing. I'm glad you stopped by and like this series - I hope you come back to share your list next week!
All on my "places to see when I grow up" list! That last photo almost looks like a painting...amazing!

I hope you make it to see each and every one of them, Jenn! I love that last photo, too. Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello today!
Wow, I am so jealous of your travels!! I hope to be able to make it to more beautiful places :)

Thanks for linking up! #FridayFrivolity

I am so thankful to have been able to travel to such amazing places. And I hope that some day, we can add to them. But for now, Gv is little and funds are small, so I must be content to re-visit them in my memories. I'm so glad you stopped by to say hello today and hope to see you again here soon!
These are so amazing! That last one really doesn't look real, lol, it looks like a fantastic painting... ;P Thank you for sharing them at Friday Frivolity!!

I had that last photo printed out on canvas and have it hanging in our bedroom and it totally looks like some fancy painting! Definitely due to the amazing scenery, despite my photography skills!
