The goal of this post is to capture a memory from the past week, either with a camera, words, or both.  Time passes in the blink of an eye and this will create a collection of treasured memories from throughout the year.

My Snapshot(s)

No, the temperature here hasn't suddenly dipped down out of its sweltering range - we just cover up everything possible to protect ourselves from the state bird (the mosquito)!

Our household grew by four legs this weekend when we adopted a rescue dog named Linus (not sure if we'll keep the name yet).  He's 4 years old (I'm so tempted to call him Jeffery!) and it's certainly a bit different getting a dog with habits already established by another family, but so far we all seem to be adjusting well.

We initiated him right away - took him for a 5-mile hike along a new section of my favorite cycling trail - and now I can't wait to explore it on my bike!

What was your favorite memory from this past week?  I'd love to hear about it!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.

Did he manage the entire 5 miles? That's a lot !! I've been anxiously waiting for a picture of Gv & the puppy every since Saturday. They look adorable together!

Yes, he was a real trooper. We were fully prepared to carry him or stick him in the jogging stroller if he couldn't make it, but he did - with plenty of energy to still chase after birds in the sky, too!
Awwwww exciting!! He's smaller than I was picturing... how is the adjustment going??

Of course, by now we all know that the adjustment seemed to be going well, but then didn't work out after all. But he was only 10 pounds, which is pretty much how much Italian Greyhounds weigh. Quite a bit different from Kaylee, I'm guessing...
