I created these goofy little fruit cards to go along with our focus on the fruit of the Spirit during Gv's Latticed Learning time this week:

I printed out two sets of these cards, figuring we'd just play a matching game with them, but then I decided to first use them to help Gv play a game of hide and seek.  I hid one set around the house (in places that would be pretty obvious, since she is just two) and then placed the other set in a pile.

We drew the top card from the pile and I told her to search throughout the house until she found the match, then bring it back to me.  When she brought back the match, she took the next card, and that's how this blissful little bit of genius allowed me to write not one, but two blog posts, which was just dandy.

Plus, she felt like I was participating in the game with her, since she came back to me to check in after each match was discovered and we would excitedly add the new pair to our fruit pile.

I then showed her how to play the match game with the cards on the floor and while she did play the game on her own several times during the week, she begged me to "hide the cards!" pretty much every day.

We liked these cute little fruits so much, I printed out a third copy for us to hang up on the mantel to put a smile on our faces each day.

Fun! My kids love hide-and-seek and matching games too. What a great way to introduce the fruits of the spirit. Visiting from Good Tips Tuesday.

Glad your kids enjoy those kinds of games, too, Abi! My second-graders still enjoyed them, so I'm hoping I've got a good 6 years to work with, with Gv here! Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello and I hope to see you around here again soon!
How fun for the kids. I'll have to share this with my older daughter who has little ones. My youngest is 13. Pinned & shared. Thanks for joining the Inspiration Spotlight party. See you again soon.
