It's time for another round of 5 After 5!  In case you missed it, last week's list was 5 of your favorite art pieces and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here.

Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.

And if you've posted your own 5 After 5 list on your blog, I've turned this series into a link party - so be sure to get your own 5 things added below (or leave your answers in today's comments if you're not a blogger).  I loved reading everyone's comments from last week and I really can't wait to see what you share today!

List 5 types of candy you love to eat

Pretty much the only candy I'm interested in is of the chocolate variety.

And by chocolate, I'm not talking about that Chocolate Impostor, the Tootsie Roll, because I have never understood how anyone can enjoy those nasty things.

No, when I speak of candy, it means concoctions of melt-in-your-hands goodness that will also destroy the upholstery of your car if you unwittingly leave a bag of the stuff shoved in the back corner in an attempt to keep some part of Christmas a surprise...

I really haven't met a chocolate I haven't liked, but these are five that top my list:

1.  Peppermint Patties

When I bite into a York Peppermint Pattie, I get the sensation of cold, crisp mountain air against my face as I race towards liftoff...

But, really, that dark chocolate shell covering that cool, crisp center does send me flying!

2.  Twix

Ooohhh, yeah.  It really is one of life's great kicks.

Just a dab of gooey caramel covering a shortbread cookie and then slathered in chocolate - is there ever a time when a cookie/chocolate candy mash up isn't a good thing?

3.  Kit Kat

Give me a break!  And I'm not going to be satisfied if you just break me off a piece of that Kit Kat Bar, because I want the whole thing all to myself.

These are very similar to another sugary favorite of mine, the Little Debbie Nutty Bar, but what makes the Kit Kat candy and not a cookie is the thickness of the chocolate coating enveloping the crisp, light wafers.

4.  Toblerone

So I've run out of cheesy commercial lines, but that doesn't diminish how much I love these little chocolate peaks of tastiness.

My first, and still favorite, experience with this chocolate delicacy?

At 38,000 ft, nestled into my roomy British Airways Economy seat, shoes off and blanket tucked in around me as I steal glances out my window at the sparse Newfoundland lights twinkling below.

I've just finished the best meal ever (because of the setting, although the curry was quite tasty, too) and I'm finishing up my movie before catching precious few hours of shut-eye prior to being awakened again for the breakfast, which will power me through my first day exploring my favorite city.

I snap off the three triangular chunks of heaven and think it just can't get any better than this...

5.  Fancy-Schmancy Imported Chocolate

And preferably not as an "import," but gobbled up right at its point of origin, in some cobbled old square someplace in Europe.

But until we haul the little one overseas for our first trip as a threesome, I'm quite content with the various German-imported bars Santa picked up at the neighborhood Aldi for my stocking this year.

And the more unusual the flavor, the better.  In fact, if I ever won the lottery, I would totally fly overseas to some chocolatier like this and blow an obscene amount of money tasting one of everything in the shop.

For next week:

List 5 of your all-time favorite movies

Since next week is the Oscars, I thought it would be fitting to consider my all-time favorite movies.

This is a tough one for me (I love movies), but I think I can manage to come up with a few that don't fit into any other category that I might be five-after-fiving in the future.

What's your list?  I'd love to hear!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
