At last week's party, we brought you plenty of Amy Poehler silliness that continues to give me the giggles.

This week, we're gearing up for the big game - and by big game, I mean the championship Tiddlywinks competition that's being held at the local bingo hall...

Seriously, will you be rooting for the Panthers or the Broncos this Sunday - or will you be frantically flipping over to the Hallmark channel for some other option?

I wouldn't miss the game for one reason only:  Football Fun Food.

I mean, what other event gives you the excuse to eat way more junk - most of it bacon-wrapped - than pretty much any other day of the year?

(Changing the memes to quotes-only at a later point):

But I must admit, this is pretty much how I feel about the actual game:

"This is me not caring who wins." (julie andrews on hill in sound of music)

...which is funny, because I used to be like this:

"that devastating moment when it finally hits you...there's no more football for months."

...but that all changed, ever since my team finally won the Superbowl and then immediately plummeted back to the bottom of the pile:

"If my team could just win one game...I would be so happy."

However, you can always count on watching the NFL to provide plenty of entertainment:

"Those two...should not sit together in public." (photo of Dingle next to Berry)

Ilka's Paper Mache Bowl over at Ilka's Blog got me all excited to try to make one myself.  I've shied away from the craft in the past because I didn't want to go buy some special kind of glue, but her version just uses regular old white glue and tissue paper - both of which we have plenty of around here!

You know I'm going to be making myself an awesome rainbow bowl, right?

I'm just there for the food, the commercials, and the part where you actually get to talk to adults for a while! The halftime show is usually pretty meh. When are they going to let the marching bands take back over? I'd watch that in a heartbeat!

Have a great weekend!

Hahaha, yes, talking to adults is always a good thing (even though there's usually at least one "hard-core" watcher who gets annoyed at all the talking! Marching bands would be so much fun!
