It's time for another round of 5 After 5!  In case you missed it, last week's list was 5 movies starring your favorite actor or actress and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here.

Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.

And this series is now a link party, so be sure to scroll down and join in all the fun with us this week!

List your top 5 movies of your favorite director

For once, this list was pretty easy for me to come up with.  My favorite director has always been Alfred Hitchcock and while I enjoy pretty much anything he's ever created, five of his movies stand above the rest for me:

1.  Marnie

What do you get when you pair up Tippi Hedren (from The Birds) with legendary Bond-man Sean Connery?  A tale of two compulsive and obsessive characters that is disturbingly creepy.

Even though this movie is a bit different than most Hitchcock films, it remains one of his best psychological thrillers, in my opinion.

2.  Vertigo

One of those movies that you can watch again and again and still get something new out of it, this classic from The Master of Suspense will ensure you never look at Jimmy Stewart the same way again.

Even if you're afraid of heights, you need to watch this one.  Trust me.

3.  Rear Window

This stylish film pairs Jimmy Stewart with Hitchcock favorite Grace Kelly and takes being a busybody neighbor to a whole new level.

Even the legendary antics of a Mrs. Kravitz can't compare to the peeping prowess of Jeffries (Stewart) in this movie, but I think I watch it most for all of Lisa's (Kelly) amazing outfits that she wears with such class.

4.  North By Northwest

The first of my two "cheats" from last week (because it stars Cary Grant), this is an edge-of-your-seat action movie that is one of the best thrillers out there.

We can thank this movie for some of film's most legendary scenes - like Grant being chased through a field by a crop-duster and the culminating escape across Mt. Rushmore's faces.

Worried about a case of mistaken identity?  The fear is real, people!

5.  To Catch a Thief

My other cheat, this movie stars my favorite romantic combination: Cary Grant and Grace Kelly - could there be a dreamier couple out there?

The stunning vistas compete for your attention as you travel the Riviera and try to figure out whether the crook is really the crook, or if he's changed his ways.

For next week:

List 5 things on your spring bucket list

Got big plans for your spring?  Finally cleaning out that cluttered garage?  Come back next week and share the top five things on your bucket list!

And now, here's this week's link party!  Two other fabulous bloggers have teamed up with me to create lists of five each week and we hope that you'll join us, too!

That's right, every post will be read, pinned and tweeted!

Every Saturday, just stop by one of our three blogs to add your own list of five, then pop over and read as many other posts as you're able to each week - treat it like a true party and really mix it up and mingle with our fun little community!

The rules are simple:  just write your own list following the prompt each week (feel free to interpret it loosely - or in a unique way!), follow each of the three hosts on the social media channel of your choice, and then get into the spirit of the party by grabbing your favorite beverage or snack and reading the lists of the other party-goers.
