Gv loves this book (& the song!):

So, I created a 5 Frogs on a Log printable that you can use to make this fun toy:

Download yours for free here.

To assemble it all, grab an empty paper towel roll, a sheet of brown construction paper, a glue stick and a stapler.

Cut the construction paper into 2-inch strips (going across the short side of the paper).  Loop each strip around the empty paper towel roll and staple it together, but not so snug that the paper loop won't rotate around the tube.

Cut out the frogs and the wave strip, then cut the wave strip further into 2-inch wide sections.

Glue a frog to the front of each tab, near the top.

Flip the entire tube over and then glue a wave section to the bottom of each tab (this is the back).

As you read or sing the song (here's a cute video), make each frog dive into the pool...

...until there are no green speckled frogs left!

Does your little tadpole love this song/story as much as mine?  I'd love to hear!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.

Oh, goodness, I don't think anyone could FORGET that song. It and "It's a Small World" (at least when you ride the Disney ride) are two that just never leave the old brain... So happy to see you here today, Dee!
Oh my goodness, this is so cute!! I will have to remember this when we get to our F:Frog unit next year. I have tried coming up with ideas for this song in the past, but never would have thought of this. Thanks for sharing on Littles Learning Link Up
