It's time for another round of 5 After 5!  In case you missed it, last week's list was 5 kitchen appliances you can't live without and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here.

Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.

And this series is now a link party, so be sure to scroll down and join in all the fun with us this week!

List 5 guilty-pleasure television shows you love to watch

We got rid of tv back when Gv was born and now just have a single monitor hanging on the wall hooked up to a DVD player and the computer, so pretty much all of my trashy-television binge-watching sessions have ceased.

However, if I were ever stuck sitting off in a hotel room by myself or something, I know I could easily get sucked back into these, if any of them are still on:

1.  The Bachelor/The Bachelorette

Complete trash?  Absolutely.

But I was entertained by almost every shocking moment my little sheltered-self watched.

Especially fun was having a pal at work who would also admit to indulging in this little habit (Hi, Beth!) and thus spending at least one shared lunch break each week rehashing all the craziest points from the most recent episode.

2.  The Real Housewives

I don't even have a clue how many cities this series has spread to, but things have obviously changed since I've watched (Tootie was on it?  Who knew?  I am so going to hunt down some of her episodes, when I get the chance).

These shows, as ridiculous as they are, always had me walking away feeling pretty happy about the fact that I wasn't rich.

3.  HGTV

I would hazard a guess that this one will show up on pretty much every female's list out there.

Oh, little slice of bed-ridden time at the end of my pregnancy with Gv in which I indulged in all-things-HGTV, all the time...how I will look back on you with fondness.

Property Brothers, Love it or List it, and Flip or Flop were my favorites, but honestly, the channel was just my go-to at the time, along with pretty much anything House Hunters that existed.

4.  What Not to Wear

I spent the majority of my life having never had cable tv, so there were all sorts of shows that I missed the bandwagon on.

And I didn't have cable when this (or Trading Spaces) were out, but boy, if I happened to be at a hotel or otherwise spending the night somewhere with cable, you can bet I'd be getting zero sleep due to a night of binge-watching.

What is it about makeovers and renovations that's just so thrilling to watch?

5.  America's Next Top Model

As I said before, trash shows are so much more fun to "watch" with someone else and then rehash, and this show was definitely high on the list.

Another coach talked me into watching this so that we could dish about it the next day and I must say, our conversations tended to be just as entertaining as the antics on the show!

Turns out, the worlds of modeling and show skating aren't really all that different...

For next week:

List 5 of your favorite road trip memories

Whether it's memories of being squeezed into the back of the station wagon with your siblings growing up, crazy marathon drives in college, or listening to shouts of "are we there yet?" or "he hit me!" from the backseat today, you're bound to have a few favorite road trip memories to share.

I've got my five.  Can't wait to see yours!

And now, here's this week's link party!  Two other fabulous bloggers have teamed up with me to create lists of five each week and we hope that you'll join us, too!

That's right, every post will be read, pinned and tweeted!

Every Saturday, just stop by one of our three blogs to add your own list of five, then pop over and read as many other posts as you're able to each week - treat it like a true party and really mix it up and mingle with our fun little community!

The rules are simple:  just write your own list following the prompt each week (feel free to interpret it loosely - or in a unique way!), follow each of the three hosts on the social media channel of your choice, and then get into the spirit of the party by grabbing your favorite beverage or snack and reading the lists of the other party-goers.

  1. My worst-ever guilty pleasure TV was "Paris Hiltons My New BFF" think top model, but worse... people obsessed with Paris Hilton, vying to get to hang out with her... it was delightfully awful. :P

  2. We used to watch The Mole. You had to figure out which celebrity was sabotaging the others. It was entertaining!

  3. The Real Housewives shows, and Vanderpump Rules are my guilty pleasure shows, for sure.

  5. My guilty pleasure TV show has to be 'Snog, Marry, Avoid' - they get somebody who dresses really eccentrically and give them a makeunder to see how it changes people's perception of them. It's so addictive! :) #FridayFrivolity

  6. My daughter and I used to binge watch an entire season of America's Top Model or What Not To Wear. Good times! Thanks for sharing with us at Creatively Crafty :) #ccbg

  7. We got rid of cable and now watch TV through the internet or with an antenna. I love that I can watch a series all the way through and not have to wait for a week for the next installment. I worked my way through Scandal and now am watching The Good Wife. I do love the bachelor, and I used to watch What not to wear and America's next top model! All good shows for me to watch after I lay down at night, they are slightly addicting, aren't they?
