At last week's party, we laughed at some of the strangest stock photos out there in Internet-land.

This week, we're remembering some of the stand-out commercials that have made us laugh over the years:

Yep, I'm just laying that one out there - pulling out the big guns, right off the bat.

Because there's just not much that can top those old grannies.

I guarantee this tune is ingrained so deeply into your brain (if you were alive back then) that you can still sing every single word of it.

And did anyone else besides me get the flimsy promo record of this song?  I can't remember, but I think it came in the newspaper...

And, while we're talking about songs from commercials that never leave your head...

This one, too:

For some reason, my cousin Charlotte and I would get an extreme case of the giggles and have to sing this anytime we were drying off...even as teenagers...at the beach...

Not as much funny as cute, but this popped into my head after the previous few:

You can pretty much bet that someone's asking this same question any time pickles are involved during a meal with my parents!

Okay, back to the funny.  Here's one that I still quote today - I just encountered something recently that used this line - maybe it was on Parks & Recreation - and I literally jumped up off the couch before doubling over in laughter.

Of course, G didn't remember this commercial, so he just stared at me for the next 15 minutes, questioning his judgment in marrying me...

"ThereIwas, ThereIwas, ThereIwas - IN   the Congo"

Cracks me up, every time.

And, finally, the commercial that I would "do" more often than any other.

It was for a local television station, and it started like this:

"Hey Vern - you just about missed all the action on TV 35..."

I can't find the exact clip anywhere, but I did find this:

Oh, Jim Varney, how I miss you.
