Another school year is getting under way and I know so many of you are looking for ways to help your children develop their literacy skills.

One fun way to accomplish this is through great alphabet videos - I've found the best of the bunch out there and created playlists for you to easily access whenever you need them!

Although these videos are ideal for little ones still learning their letters, kids of any age (and moms, too!) will have fun tapping their toes to these terrific tunes.

Doing a letter a week in your homeschool?  Start things off each day with one of these clips - or have a review day and watch the whole alphabet's worth!

Find other great alphabet resources here and make sure you grab your set of these cute phonics cards to have on hand while you focus on the letters and their sounds.

Start things off with this fun magnet-letter take on The Alphabet Song:

The Alphabet Song by Super Simple Songs

Then choose from one of these fun playlists - you can click through to save them as your favorites and even pick and choose which letters you want to play each time:

Syncopated Mama: abcmouse.com Alphabet - you'll love the cute graphics and catchy tunes produced by the minds over at abcmouse.com when you play this list.

Syncopated Mama: walphabet.com -  this one isn't composed of songs, but clever little alphabet stories for each letter, including letter formation work that's great for handwriting lessons!

Syncopated Mama: Have Fun Teaching Alphabet - hip songs for every letter of the alphabet (I thought these were a bit obnoxious at first, but I have to admit that they're really catchy and grew on me!)

Syncopated Mama: Sesame Street - you can't go wrong with this classic show! Letter of the day podcast videos from the gang in your favorite neighborhood

Syncopated Mama: StoryBots Alphabet - these rambunctious little robots will surely get your little learner excited about the letters!

Syncopated Mama: Hooked on Phonics - for those days when you just need to throw on a movie in order to keep your sanity and get something done, this playlist includes an hour-long video of all the letters of the alphabet as well as videos of almost all the letters by themselves.

Make sure you check out my recent post on Top Reading Resources, as well as this one on the best anthology kid lit around.

I have always thought that setting learning to music is helpful, but these cute videos were just too much - and integrate that trick, as well! Thanks for taking the time to say hey today, Vanessa!
I agree you can not beat a classic. Sesame Street will always be mine and my kids favorite. Great list!

I'm glad someone else still loves classic Sesame Street - it seems like it's been practically forgotten amongst my circle of mom friends!

Awesome! My almost 4 year old is still very much trying to learn these letters, so these will come in handy and be a fun thing to mix things up a little. ;)
