31 Games - Snug as a Bug in a Rug

Is your 3-year-old the youngest of the family, or are all the kids your child plays with close to that same age?  If so, then you know how difficult it can be to find ways for them to all be involved in the fun and games - so many choices are just too advanced for this age.

But now, you'll have a list of 31 unique games that even a 3-year-old can join in with.  A few of these ideas will be best for the preschool set, but most will work for a wide range of ages!

In this cooperative game, players work together to get all the bugs under the rug before the stink bugs arrive.  It targets matching skills with colors, numbers, sizes and shapes.

This game also includes three variations of play, so it can grow with your child!

Snug as a Bug in a Rug

Players:  2-4

Ages:  3 +

Place:  a spot to set the board, lay out the bugs, and roll the die

Equipment:  this game

How to play:  The players take turns flicking the spinner and throwing the die, then finding the perfectly-matched bug and placing under the rug.

If a match cannot be found, a stink bug joins the crowd.

The game is over when all three stink bugs have been released.
