It's time for another round of 5 After 5!  In case you missed it, last week's list was favorite cookout food and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here - then catch up on all the old editions here.

Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.

And this series is a link party, so be sure to scroll down and join in all the fun with us this week!

Favorite Ice Cream

One of our favorite parts of our summer campout experience is stopping by Dolly's Dairy Bar for a yummy treat to cool us off before heading back to our compound for the night.

I love all of their unusual flavors, named after popular camps in the area and full of all sorts of delicious goodies, but since I can only enjoy them in the summer, I'm listing my five regular favorites here:

1. Breyer's Natural Vanilla

This is the one with the little black specks of vanilla bean in it, and the only other ingredients are cream, sugar and milk.

Mmmmm....it just melts in my mouth!

2. Breyer's Mint Chocolate Chip

This is about as far from the bright green stuff as you can get. It begins with my favorite vanilla ice cream (see #1) and then adds in little squares of chocolate goodness along with a bit of pure mint extract.

Soooo refreshing!

3. Eggnog

This is usually only out around Christmas, but it seems like during that time of year, I just can't get enough eggnog-everything -- which includes ice cream!

4. Anything containing my favorite candy bars

Especially Butterfingers and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. And the best option for me is to just crush those bad boys up myself into a bowl of #1!

5. Ben & Jerry's

I haven't had any of this stuff in a really long time, but it's the closest thing to Dolly's Dairy Bar I can find at home. I think my favorite is Everything But the Kitchen Sink, but they have quite a few loaded-down flavors to choose from!

For next week:

Favorite beverages

Can you tell we're already baking down here in the sweltering heat? All I can think about are things that will cool me off!

I had a recent conversation with someone about things to sip, so I think my list will include a particular category of drinks -- check back next week to see what that is!

That's right, every post will be read, pinned and tweeted!

Every Saturday, just stop by one of our blogs to add your own list of five, then pop over and read as many other posts as you're able to each week - treat it like a true party and really mix it up and mingle with our fun little community!

The rules are simple:  just write your own list following the prompt each week (feel free to interpret it loosely - or in a unique way!), follow both of the hosts on the social media channel of your choice, and then get into the spirit of the party by grabbing your favorite beverage or snack and reading the lists of the other party-goers.

Chubby Hubby was always my favorite ice cream... but I am so bummed that the pretzels are not longer peanut butter filled. My favorite ice cream flavors: 1. Maine Black bear; Love that chocolate and raspberry pairing! 2. Coffee Oreo; we have a local place that makes this fresh in their shop and it is to die for 3. Moose tracks; peanut butter and chocolate just can't be beat. 4. Pumpkin spice (but only in the fall and loaded with hot fudge). 5. Any flavor Magnum bar

Oooh, I love chocolate and raspberry, too! I've never had a magnum bar...have to check that one out...
All this sweet talk is making me hungry:) My all-time favorite is Chocolate Volcano from Culver's (here in WI). It's a chocolate lover's heaven :)

Hahaha, it made me hungry for ice cream, too! Culver's has finally made its way down here. I'd only had it once before, in Iowa, so it was exciting when the first one popped up!
I love Breyer's chocolate (although, Friendly's Forbidden Chocolate comes close) and Friendly's Vienna Mocha Chunk.

Ooooh, Friendly's! Those all closed down here decades ago, but I used to love that place!
Vanilla Bean is my favorite! And then caramel cashew!

Yay for vanilla bean! It's just soooo delicious!
ANY kind of Ben and Jerry's and two spoons makes for the perfect date night with my honey.
I will take a few scoops of your top two, any day of the week! Any time of day! Great list. #AwesomeLifeFridays #FridayFrivolity xo

Hahaha! I'll be sure to serve them right up to you, Lisa!
Great post. Beyers all natural ice cream is made out of real food and tastes like it. I am violently allergic to food colouring so I had no eaten ice cream in 30 years until Beyers came out. Nowmy family doesn't want to eat any other brand because they prefer how it tastes. Isn't ice cream one of the simplest joys of summer.

Yay for another Bryer's-lover! I agree, nothing else tastes as good!
Thanks for these great suggestions. Summer time just beckons loads of ice cream😂👍

It's funny, because for some reason, we ate less ice cream this summer than ever!
Thanks for sharing this at Booknificent Thursday on Mommynificent.com this week! I am personally all about the coffee-flavored ice creams, but now that I am sugar-free, I pretty much have to make my own when I want it!

Sometimes I'll make ice cream for G, too, because he can't have dairy. But it's been a while since I've done that...
