5 After 5, Ways to enjoy "Me" time

What do you like to do to enjoy "Me" time? Do you get to have it very often?

It's time for another round of 5 After 5!  In case you missed it, last week's list was bedtime routines and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here - then catch up on all the old editions here.

Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.

And this series is a link party, so be sure to scroll down and join in all the fun with us this week!

List 5 ways to enjoy "Me" time

I am a bit of an introvert. I say a bit, because I happen to be married to an extreme introvert, so I look like the world's biggest extrovert next to him.

But I tell you what, if I don't get enough "Me" time, I just do not function well.

What do I choose to do, when I have these rare moments? Things like:

1.  Read

I bet you were totally blown away by this one and never would have expected it in a million years, right?

I try to at least read for a few minutes on my Nook before I go to sleep each night, but sometimes my eyelids just won't stay up that long!

2.  Watch Something

I usually have something I'm binge-watching an episode of at night after G heads to bed. My stand-bys are Gilmore Girls, Monk and Psych, but lately I've been really enjoying Bringing Up Bates!

3.  Get Creative

This is one that happens the least, because it usually takes the longest time to drag out all the supplies. I do really enjoy being all artsy-fartsy when I get the chance.

I also enjoy crocheting, although that's a slippery-slope into the world of yarn-hoarder...

4.  Plan Stuff

Yeah, I know, this one's pretty weird, but I really do enjoy planning things.

What types of things? Trips...what I'm doing next week with Gv...blog posts...gift ideas...anything is fair game for my geeky planner mind!

5.  Organize

This is something I do sometimes when I can't really have "Me" time, but I need "Me" time, so I go off into some other room, figuring that if I'm organizing, I'm still working, so it's okay.

I also compulsively organize whenever I need to calm down. Think of it as my way to "count to four" (Daniel Tiger-style!)

For next week:

Ways to fit in reading

Just how do I check #1 off today's list, when I don't have much time? Come back next week to find out!

I can't wait to see what you share!

That's right, every post will be read, pinned and tweeted!

Every Saturday, just stop by one of our blogs to add your own list of five, then pop over and read as many other posts as you're able to each week - treat it like a true party and really mix it up and mingle with our fun little community!

The rules are simple:  just write your own list following the prompt each week (feel free to interpret it loosely - or in a unique way!), follow both of the hosts on the social media channel of your choice, and then get into the spirit of the party by grabbing your favorite beverage or snack and reading the lists of the other party-goers.
