I received a free copy of this product by Tyndale Kids in exchange for writing a review.  All opinions are my own.

Just when I thought our children's Bible collection was complete, this arrived and changed my mind:

Not only does this resource contain the usual Bible stories and adorable illustrations, it weaves in character-building lessons too!

Each story includes an associated Bible verse as well as a description of where to find the full story in the regular Bible.

Each Bible story has a focused trait associated with it, which is handled by sharing a four-line poem explanation along with a cute, comic-book style page that helps kids understand how that trait can be applied in their lives.

The character trait descriptions include plenty of rhyming, which I love!

I really love the way this book highlights core character traits found in the Bible and suggests such fun, practical ways to live out these truths with real-life examples.

The application pages remind me of the character comics in Highlights Magazine.

There are plenty of adorable, colorful illustrations to go along with the 60 Bible stories and character lessons that will be sure to engage your child and put a smile on his or her face.

You'll find all the typical children's Bible stories in this book along with a few others (like Nehemiah & Miriam). Each one is linked with a positive attribute, like gratefulness, compassion, wisdom and others that you'll be happy to introduce and discuss with your little one.

Aren't these illustrations just too cute?

While this book is aimed at toddlers and preschoolers, I feel this book can continue to be enjoyed for several years longer -- especially if used as a jumping-off point for more in-depth discussions on character with your elementary-aged children.

I love the explosion of color contained in this book. Even the shiny title accents on the cover add something special!

I think the idea behind this Bible is unique -- have you seen anything like it that merges the Bible with character training for youngsters before? I'd love to hear!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
