5 After 5, Favorite Ways to Celebrate Thanksgiving

I can't believe Thanksgiving is only a little over a week away -- didn't it just turn November last week?

It's time for another round of 5 After 5!  In case you missed it, last week's list was favorite cured meats and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here - then catch up on all the old editions here.

Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.

And this series is a link party, so be sure to scroll down and join in all the fun with us this week!

List 5 favorite ways to celebrate Thanksgiving

I've shared some of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions before, but here's what I'm most looking forward to this Turkey Day;

1.  The Food

I mean, isn't that what everyone is most looking forward to?

And in case you don't remember, this post lists the dish my mouth is most watering for each year!

2.  Crafts

We don't do all of these Thanksgiving crafts each year, but Gv and I always do one or two to hang on the front door and liven the place up a little with.

3.  Travel

Seriously, did you think I could talk about something to do during a school break and it not include travel?

We've most often camped for this week, but once or twice we've also taken a little mini trip (along with approximately 58,394 other people!) to escape the heat and actually feel a bit of fall.

4.  Organizing

Um, okay, but this is actually something I'm really, really, really, really hoping happens this year.

Remember my goals for the year

Well, I'm running out of time and still desperately trying to achieve #2!

5.  Family Together-Time

One other thing we'll be doing this Thanksgiving? Visiting another of our Passport to Fun countries -- where do you think we'll be headed next?

Even though I'm going to want to spend all our time working on #4, G is not going to share that 24/7-until-it's-all-done mindset.

He is also going to want to get out of the house, which means we might actually have the chance to go do fun little family things together again since my return to work at the start of the year pretty much took away our weekends.

For next week:

Christmas Wish List for Kids

Have you started to think about what to give your kids this Christmas? I have, but I'm still brainstorming ideas and hoping you'll share some great ones here!

I can't wait to see what you share!

That's right, every post will be read, pinned and tweeted!

Every Saturday, just stop by one of our blogs to add your own list of five, then pop over and read as many other posts as you're able to each week - treat it like a true party and really mix it up and mingle with our fun little community!

The rules are simple:  just write your own list following the prompt each week (feel free to interpret it loosely - or in a unique way!), follow both of the hosts on the social media channel of your choice, and then get into the spirit of the party by grabbing your favorite beverage or snack and reading the lists of the other party-goers.
