At last week's party, we shared our favorite cakes.
This week, in preparation for Easter, we're sharing our favorite holiday memories!
1. Thumper Dumper
I recently had a fun little chat with Gigi about our favorite childhood stuffed animals where I shared that I still had mine (or at least version #2, because version #1 was devastatingly lost at a mall in Charlotte during a visit with my grandparents, but luckily my parents found version #2 to replace her just a few years later).
I received Thumper Dumper (named after this movie, of course) for Easter one year and not only do I still have her, but I have been known to bring her along with me as an adult!
She was especially wonderful to squeeze during this particular moment in time:

2. Easter growing up
Pick a year, any year, and it was probably a great Easter -- well, with the exception of that being one of two times a year that I had to eat eggs before I got to eat whatever special-treat-deliciousness my mom had baked up for the occasion, like cinnamon rolls or a coffee cake.
We kept the egg-searching alive far beyond the typical years because it became such a tradition and inside joke to hide the eggs in the same spots my entire life. (I am secretly hoping they'll hide an egg for Gv in the plant next to the bar cabinet when we go visit them this year!)
3. Traditional family photo
My parents have all of these photos in their albums (remember, these years were before the days of digital -- or even double prints!), but I lucked out and found these two in my stash.
The best ones were where my mom and I -- and my doll -- all had on matching outfits, sewn, of course, by my super-talented mom herself!
4. Every Easter with Gv
This was her very first Easter, before we took the egg-searching outside, and I love her outfit, because it was mine when I was little!
5. Traditional family photo
I've continued this tradition and we've taken a photo each year in front of this tree. This particular photo is one of my favorites so far, because it was taken when we were (briefly) a family of 4.
Now time for the new stuff!

Featured Post from Last Week:
In a fun twist, since we have multiple hosts and co-hosts we will also have multiple features.... but you will have to go check out the other blogs to see if you were featured there! ;)
The featured post for Syncopated Mama this week is........
I love reading Licia's blog because it's written in Italian and I always get excited when I can follow what she's saying, but this little inside pocket sewing post tickled me even more because of the fun rainbow fabric she used in her example! If you've never popped on over to check out her blog, do it now (and don't worry, there's a translate option on the sidebar!)
