This new polar-themed story Bible has arrived just in time for the chilly weather (there must be chilly weather somewhere, at least!):

Gv still loves reading through our "regular" version of the 5-Minute Adventure Bible Stories each week, so she was excited to receive another one.

When this latest edition arrived, I just assumed it would be the same text, but with polar-themed illustrations added, but I was quite surprised when I discovered that many of the stories included were different!

About half of the 30 bite-sized stories are completely new in this latest edition. The other half are identical to the original and the illustrations match the stories (like before) and have nothing to do with the polar theme.

So if you have the earlier edition like we do, the covers are different and half the stories are new, but the rest of the book is the same.

I'm not so certain we need to take up precious shelf space by holding on to this volume, since half of it is redundant, but Gv loves all the new stories and is begging to keep it.

I have to say, I like the new stories as well, and I especially like that this new version includes several from after Jesus returns to Heaven. The previous version ended at His ascension.

If you don't have a version of these 5-Minute stories already, then either one is a great choice. Choose the cover that most appeals to your child and you'll be a winner. They both provide great, bite-sized readings that are perfect for bedtime stories and definitely engage little listeners.

If the polar edition tickles your fancy, then grab it here and add a little adventure into your Bible story read-aloud time!

Do you have a nightly practice of reading a bedtime story? If so, do those tend to be Bible stories, or do you read those at other times of the day?  I'd love to hear!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
