Ever since our sweet dog April passed away, Gv's been feeling a bit scared when she wakes in the night and can't just snuggle up with 70+ pounds of furry reassurance, so I was happy when this arrived:
We'd enjoyed this book about sadness by the same authors, and felt a similar one focused on scared feelings was a great addition to the series.

This book's simple, accessible text helps kids discover that it's okay to be scared and that God is with us in all things.

A lot of times, children feel like scared is an emotion that should be avoided, but reading through this book helps them understand that listening to that fear lets them learn things about themselves and grow closer to God.

This book is perfect for kids 4-8 and will help them:

  • Identify the feeling of fear and recognize things that can make them feel scared
  • See signs of fear in others
  • Develop techniques to manage fear
  • Embrace fear and new experiences without letting it overwhelm them
  • Talk to God about their feelings
