20 Easter Basket Finds for Your Little Bunny for $5 or Less

If you want to support what I’m doing with this blog, just follow any of the product links and order whatever you want off of Amazon at no additional cost to you.  That’s it!  I’ll get a little bonus.  Thanks so much!

A link to one of these items caught my attention; it looked like the perfect thing for Gv's Easter basket.

Never mind the fact that we have no plans to give Gv an Easter basket this year, but I somehow got sucked into the process of searching for cute Easter basket goodies that were $5 or less.  I was so excited with how many adorable items I found - many even had free shipping with no minimum order!

I told myself that I wasn't completely wasting my time, because I could save this list and revisit it next year, when perhaps we might actually put together an Easter basket for our little chickie.  Then it dawned on me that I shouldn't keep this list to myself, because many of YOU might be hunting for cute basket-fillers and why keep all these goodies a secret?

Of course, there are a few that I really love...and I think Gv would really love, too...so maybe I'll break down and put together a basket for her this year, after all...just a small one...

So here's my list of 20 Under-$5 Easter Basket Finds.  Half of them are books, but that's the way we roll in this house...we don't have ANY books around this place:
Books? I'd say we have one or two...

Board Books

1.  Ollie's Easter Eggs board book (Gossie & Friends) - The adorable illustrations have me not only wanting this book, but  the Christmas one, as well!

2. Duck & Goose, Here Comes the Easter Bunny! - Another one with cute illustrations, and a bestselling author to boot!

3.  Bright Baby Touch and Feel Easter - Gv loves to explore touch-and-feel books, especially while I'm working in the kitchen.  This one looks like a cute addition to our collection!

4.  Where Are Baby's Easter Eggs?: A Lift-the-Flap Book (Karen Katz Lift-the-Flap Books) - Lift-the-flap books make stories so much more fun!  Gv is just starting to "get" how to lift the flap to discover new surprises, so this one looks like a great choice!

5.    Happy Easter, Mouse! (If You Give...) - One can never have too many Laura Numeroff books, so we'll definitely be adding this to the home library!

6.  Biscuit's Pet & Play Easter - Biscuit books were always popular when I taught 1st Grade.  Add in the fact that this one is touch-and-feel and it's sure to be a hit!

7.   The Bunny Hop (Sesame Street) (Big Bird's Favorites Board Books) - Elmo wasn't around when I was little, but I have to admit, he's a pretty cute little critter.  This book looks like fun and besides, who can resist a good rhyme?

8.  The Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story (Berenstain Bears/Living Lights) - Not a board book, but I've loved the Berenstain Bears since I was little.  This one tells the real Easter story and even includes stickers!

9.  The First Easter (Easter Board Books) - Another story of the true Easter - this time told by a sweet little lamb!

10.  Jesus Is Coming! (Easter Board Books) - By the same author as #9 - I just love how they're both cut into the shape of an egg!  This one tells the story of Palm Sunday.

11.  My Day with Jesus (Easter Board Books) - I know, I know.  I've gone over my book limit.  {sheepish grin} But this one was just too cute to pass up.  It's another Palm Sunday tale, but told from the donkey's point of view.

Toys

1. Family Finger Puppets - People Includes Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, Brother, Sister - These finger puppets were the original link that got me sucked into this Easter-basket-treat search in the first place.  I couldn't believe how much cuteness could be had for the low price of $1.84 - and there is NO SHIPPING charge, even if you just order this one item!  Gv has one set of zoo finger puppets that she already loves, so you can see why I was so attracted to these.

2.  10 Pc Soft Plush Animal Finger Puppet Set includes Elephant, Panda, Duck, Rabbit, Frog, Mouse, Cow, Bear, Dog, Hippo - Another adorable set of finger puppets, also with free shipping.  I love the variety in this pack!

3.  Susenstore Kids Water Drawing Painting Writing Mat Board & Magic Pen - This looks so cool and I think it will be perfect for Gv - who has already been grabbing pens, pencils, highlighters, or any other writing implement she can get her hands on - because it sounds like it's mess-free!  I'm glad I carefully read the reviews, however, because most people were disappointed with its size - much smaller than what it appears in the photo, it seems.  I don't really care if it's just the size of a piece of paper; it still seems like a fantastic find!

4.  6pcs Easter Eggs Gift Funny Baby Toys Wisdom Clever Matching Eggs Green Red Yellow Blue Orange Purple Eggs - I think this was the only item that didn't have free shipping available and so technically it winds up being a little over $5.  But I really think they are so clever - not only would they serve as eggs to hide, but as nifty matching toys as well!  Hmmm...might have to tell Grammy and Grandpa Bunny about these...

5.  SODIAL Funky Fun Colorful Magnetic Letters A-Z Wooden Fridge Magnets Kid toys Education - I have an entire bin full of magnetic letters from my classroom, but I still don't think I can resist these fun letter creatures!  I don't trust things containing small magnets around Gv at her current age, but I definitely want to get these in a couple of years!

6.  SODIAL(R) Funny Colorful Magnetic Numbers Wooden Fridge Magnets Kids Educational toys - Free Cable Tie - You can't have those fun letters and not get the numbers to match, can you?

7.  Webkinz Rabbit - What's an Easter basket without a cute little plush bunny?  This one is small and priced right!

8.  Mazin Hamster Series 1 - Sunshine - Stumbled across this cute little guy while hunting for a stuffed bunny.  Apparently these are just like the Webkinz animals, not to mention an adorable and unique critter that's on sale!

9.  Cake Bakery Designer Kit - This would obviously be for Gv when she gets quite a bit older, but it looks like so much fun!  Often children's kits like this are so overpriced, it's cheaper just to buy the real thing, but this one is deeply discounted.

10. Numbers Colors Shapes - Okay, okay, I know it's another book, but just look at all the bright, happy colors on this cover!  Just. Can't. Resist. Books.

So there you have it, a nice little list of ideas to help you fill those Easter baskets!  I'm not one for shopping and buying lots of stuff, but it's going to be awfully hard not to order all of these cute things today...

Do you have any of these neat items already?  Are you planning to get some?  I'd love to hear what you think of them, if you do!
