Friday Frivolity - Wishlist Books

It's time for this week's edition of Friday Frivolity - the blog party for all things fun, funny, hopeful & happy!

Just wait until you see what we dug up for this week's theme...

Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. This means if you click on a link and purchase something, I'll receive a small affiliate commission at no cost to you. Thanks so much for supporting my efforts with this blog!

At last week's party, we shared all sorts of Black Friday craziness.

This week, we're sharing the books on our wishlist.

It's kind of silly for me to even have a book wishlist - we don't even have room for all the books we have - but I just can't help it.

Books are just too cool!

The funny thing is, most of the books on my current wishlist are all for Gv.

These are the books that we've gotten from the library, then re-checked out and renewed until we run out of library cards to use...

When that happens with a book, I know it's a keeper:

Falling for Rapunzel
I found out about this hilarious Rapunzel book from my pal Guilty Chocoholic Mama about a year ago and it seriously stayed checked out from then all the way until we left for the summer!

The Three Little Pigs: An Architectural Tale

Iggy Peck, Architect

We got both of these during this week of Latticed Learning and just couldn't return either one to the library for months!

A Walk in Paris

A Walk in London
These two were equally fun and discovered during this week of Latticed Learning.

The Biggest Story
I won the DVD and Audiobook versions of this book a couple of months ago. Gv asks to watch/listen to it almost every day, so I'd love to have the beautiful book that goes with it!

The Art Book for Children
The Art Book for Children - Book Two
We loved both of these fabulous art books, which we collected during this week of Latticed Learning.

The Story of the Orchestra

Those Amazing Musical Instruments!

Welcome to the Symphony

We couldn't get enough of these books (well, we have yet to actually see the last one in person) during this week of Latticed Learning.

Featured Post from Last Week:

In a fun twist, since we have four hosts and co-hosts we will also have FOUR FEATURES.... but you will have to go check out the other four blogs to see if you were featured there!  ;)

The featured post for Syncopated Mama this week is........

I think Shelly was sooo brave to write this post - it might not be completely "PC" for this day and age, but I totally agree with her point that quantity time really does make a difference over quality time.

And no, she's not saying anything negative about households where both parents work outside the home - she's merely pointing out that quantity time is really important - and most likely, more important than shuttling kids between a bazillion activities that seem to be positive...

The big thing that I thought of when I read her post was how much of a difference quantity time makes within my own friendships - my closest friends at the moment (those who know what's really going on in my life these days) are those I see the most often.

Sure, I have friends I can see once every few years and pick up and never miss a beat, but it's still not the same as seeing someone day after day for hours at a time.

Click on over and read her post for more great insights!
