This sweet little board book featuring simple text and colorful illustrations helps children make a connection to Jesus by relating how He was once a child, just like them:

Although Gv has been enjoying this book since it arrived, I wish we had learned about it earlier, because I know it would have been one of our favorites when she was a baby and toddler.

It is set up in the same way as many successful board books, by relating different aspects to the reader in a way (s)he can most easily understand:

The "...just like me" is repeated on every other page.

Not only is this method a wonderful way to engage even the youngest child in the reading of the book, but it establishes a firm foundation in the fact that Jesus came to live a life here on Earth just like we do.

This book relates a baby's life to that of Jesus.

The illustrations are so sweet -- not too sugary and with just the right amount of whimsy and tender innocence thrown in.

What a great message to convey to little ones!

I feel this book is a wonderful choice for a new baby or young toddler -- it's one that you'd definitely want to have from the start and that would become a cherished favorite over the years.
