It's time for another round of 5 After 5!  In case you missed it, last week's list was ways to fit more reading in and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here - then catch up on all the old editions here.

Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.

And this series is a link party, so be sure to scroll down and join in all the fun with us this week!

List 5 favorite fall family outings

I am chuckling, because I pretty much filled up my list of favorite fall activities a few weeks ago with all sorts of outings, so I don't really have anything else to add.

However, I can think of all sorts of fun outings I would love to attend if we could afford them and if they took place here in our neck of the woods, so I'll look forward to your list and share this wish-list of mine here:

1.  Visit a pumpkin patch

We actually have a few of these set up nearby as fund-raisers in school and church parking lots. I have friends who'll take their tykes there just to for the great photo ops, but the best pumpkin patches are all outside of town and charge a fee.

Want to experience the ultimate in pumpkin patches? Check out the Great Highwood Festival outside of Chicago -- they're hoping to break the Guinness World Record for the most pumpkins carved and lit at once this year.

That ought to be quite a sight to see!

2.  Take a corn maze challenge

Like the good pumpkin patches, we have a couple of amazing corn mazes around here that I'd love to visit, but it just isn't in the budget (it would cost at least $50 for the 3 of us to go!).

There are sure some incredible mazes constructed out there, though, like these out in Texas or these in other parts of the country!

3.  Go apple picking

This is actually one I was able to enjoy one year when I was at my typical camping spot in October. By the time I arrived home, my car was bursting with Galas, Honeycrisps and Winesaps, along with plenty of jugs of cider, as well.

If you're looking for a great spot, Barber Orchards in Waynesville is my top pick.

4. Experience a hay ride

Whether you just scatter a bale of the brown stuff in the back of your buddy's pickup truck or go all-out and attend a big event, a hayride can be loads of fun for big and little kids alike!

5.  Go leaf-looking

What better place to experience the explosion of autumn's palate than in the mountains?

I'd head up here if I had the chance, but there are plenty of other places to check out the colorful foliage around the country.

For next week:

Morning Routine

Do you do the same thing every morning when you wake up? I do, and I can't wait to see what you share!

That's right, every post will be read, pinned and tweeted!

Every Saturday, just stop by one of our blogs to add your own list of five, then pop over and read as many other posts as you're able to each week - treat it like a true party and really mix it up and mingle with our fun little community!

The rules are simple:  just write your own list following the prompt each week (feel free to interpret it loosely - or in a unique way!), follow both of the hosts on the social media channel of your choice, and then get into the spirit of the party by grabbing your favorite beverage or snack and reading the lists of the other party-goers.
