The Beginner's Bible continues to be one of Gv's favorites, so she was over the moon to check out this version of a Bible story that she could read all by herself!
Daniel and the Lions' Den |
I had thought that I'd seen this book around in previous years and when it arrived, I realized that this version is the same as before, but with updated artwork, just like this Bible I reviewed.
The story is of course basically the same as found in the big Bible, but this little book presents it with simpler language and many more pages of fabulous Beginner's Bible illustrations.
It's like taking the already-great Daniel story from the Green Bible (what Gv calls the main Beginner's Bible) and pulling on it like taffy to stretch it out over 32 pages and give new readers plenty of time to make it through on their own!
After seeing how excited Gv was to read through this book by herself, I'm anxious to see others in the I Can Read! Beginner's Bible series -- we might even be tempted to order the whole set!
Are your kids ready to read on their own? Have they ever encountered these great Bible-story books? I'd love to hear! Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
