Project Snapshot - June 2018

Each month, Project Snapshot captures memories from the past weeks - either with a camera, words, or both.

Time passes in the blink of an eye - see which treasured memory will join the year's collection for this month:

My Snapshots

Besides taking a bit of a blogging break this summer, I'm planning to make a few adjustments when things start back up in the fall.

One of those changes is to convert my Project Snapshot series from a weekly to monthly post.

I'm hoping that I'll have a lot less rushing around after my busy work weekends by making this change, but that I'll still be able to capture snapshots of life on a weekly basis.

We'll see how it works out -- I figure I can always go back to a weekly post, if I need to...

So, what have we been up to this past month? Take a look and see:

We celebrated this book-crazy birthday girl with a Super Why themed party:

Then Gv strapped on some wheels for a new type of skating experience:

It was at a birthday party. Her opinion? "I liked it, but ice skating is WAY better."
That's my girl!

And yet another birthday party (we call it birthday season around here), this one was full of slip 'n slide fun:

Then we headed out on our annual summer road trip, full of Junior Ranger fun like last year:

This (Natchez Trace/Brice's Crossroads) was the first of 24 National Park sites (and Junior Ranger badges!) that we visited on our route this year.

Gv next to an ancient piece of playground equipment that I used to play on when my family would visit the tiny little town in Kansas that my mom's family was from.

Our first day of hiking on the trip -- in the Badlands!
