This sweet, hard-bound picture book has a warm color palate perfect for fall, but its heartfelt message about love makes it one you'll want to return to all year long!

The story centers around Little Owl, who hopes to buy his Grammy a special birthday gift, but whose day is met with frustration and disappointment at every turn.

He and his sad little slumped shoulders immediately grab Grammy's attention after he arrives at her house; when she finds out why he's so glum, she explains that the love he ended up spreading to all he met along his way was far better than any other gift.

It's just so sweet and I dare you not to cry at that special ending!

Besides the endearing story, the adorable illustrations are sure to make you fall in love:

And, speaking of love, you and your kids are going to love searching for the 1 Corinthians 13 verses hidden throughout the pages:

I was already in love with this book, but hiding verses in a rainbow just sent me over the top!

And if you're a word-geek like I am, you'll also love all the instances of onomatopoeia sprinkled through the story, too:

I tell you, adding a new picture book to your book collection is always a great idea, but finding one like this that's got such a wonderful message, adorable illustrations and clever details is a total bonus!

Grab it for yourself here and introduce your children to the true message of love, based on 1 Corinthians 13 and the unselfish choices made by sweet Little Owl!

Which aspect of this book do you think is neatest? I can't choose just one, but we really did love looking for all the hidden 1 Corinthian 13 verses.  I'd love to hear what you think!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
