If you live in or near any type of city or town at all, you can probably find some great parks, botanical gardens, museums, or historical homes decorated for the season. Sometimes it's even worth a bit of a drive to experience an event at one of these locations. Some of the great places I've visited over the years have included special gardens like this one, this one, and this one or a museum stroll like this. You might even think about venturing a bit farther from home, to see the big city or immerse yourself in a magical holiday experience here. Even if you are reading the classic version of this story aloud as a family, the younger members of your audience might enjoy flipping through a picture book version like this one, or even a whimsical board book introduction like this one.
