The goal of this post is to capture a memory from the past week, either with a camera, words, or both.  Time passes in the blink of an eye and this will create a collection of treasured memories from throughout the year.

My Snapshot(s)

We finally had a chance to check out a nearby art museum.

We'd tried to visit it a few months ago for  Museum Day, only to discover that it was closed for a special function.

Seriously?  Closed on the one day that people can go check it out for free?  And we'd even confirmed the opening online before making the hour-long drive down there!

Something seemed fishy with that, so I wrote the museum a note to express my frustration.  I got an immediate response, and two free ticket vouchers, which made all the difference since it would normally cost the three of us $40 to go!

Gv's had quite a bit of exposure to other art museums already (they usually always have a free evening once a month or so), but this time, she really got into the experience:

She hasn't seen Ferris Bueller yet (and won't, for many years!), but she's already got the picture-pondering pose down pat!

We were there three hours, and she lasted two.  That giant blown-glass pumpkin was her favorite piece.

What was your favorite memory from this past week?  I'd love to hear about it!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.

Also, make sure to check out the Museum Day link for yourself - I just discovered that the Smithsonian's holding a special edition day this March, in addition to the normal one in the fall!
