At last week's party, we got all geared up for the big game.

Did your team win?

Did you care?

Did you eat a ton of yummy junk food?

Now that Valentine's Day is upon us, you're either really looking forward to the day, or dreading the fact that the holiday falls on a weekend again this year, which makes surviving the day even more difficult.

If you're in the latter category, then hopefully these little laughs will keep you going - along with the reminder that Valentine's Day will fall on a busy weekday for the next several years...

(Changing the memes to quotes-only at a later point):

The first thing that came to my mind when I considered this week's topic was this show:

"I am fed out to here with stupid people." (married with children)

"Let's clear up a few misconceptions. There are two things Peggy Bundy doesn't do. Number 1: cook, clean, sew, vacuum, iron & parent. & #2? Exercise."

Which then led to this:

"Ed O'Neill has been reading the same newspaper for 20 years." (Married with Children & Modern Family)

And this Valentine's Day card just cracked me up:

"I adumbledore you"

And finally, a great answer for all of you out there who are less than thrilled to greet this day alone:

"Do you have a date for Valentine's Day? Yes. February 14th."

Now, on to the link-up!

The Hosts:

Lisa is an awesomely hilarious and wonderfully authentic writer who marches to her own drum on her blog Syncopated Mama, providing an "un-labelly spot" for all the happily off-beat folks out there who have been wishing to find kindred spirits.  She shares her adventures building a natural home, teaching her adorbs daughter, establishing and refining positive communication skills, camping, creating, cooking, and so much more!  Lately, she's been busy "traveling the world" while working through the Passport to Fun gift she gave her hubby for Christmas.

Friday Frivolity Host Sarah Eliza from Devastate Boredom

Sarah Eliza is on a mission to Devastate Boredom by living a life full of all of her favorite things... friendship and connection, laughter, books and music, furbaby love, minimalism, wellness pursuits, Paleo-ish cooking, and on and on!  Curious about how to create a capsule wardrobe without losing your mind??  Check out her series here!

Audrey is an awesome, eclectic blogger, who not only can cook up a storm over on That Recipe, but also writes at Munofore - "MUsings NOt FOod RElated."  Munofore touches on humor, parenting, crafting, holiday ideas, tutorials, and more!  Her latest post is an insightful collection of tips for researching your ancestry.  Don't miss it!

Thanks for featuring my blog post! I enjoyed the last of the jokes and found the newspaper being the same one for 20 years very interesting. My question: Wouldn't it begin falling apart after a few years?

I'd wondered the same thing, Christina, so I looked it up. Apparently, this paper was a special "prop paper" that the studio created and used pretty much ANY time someone was reading a newspaper in a scene. How wild is that? So I'm guessing it's made out of special paper and not newsprint at all. So glad you joined us and hope you come back this week!
Hey, my little Syncopated Mama, I finally got in the Friday Frivolity game! I mean, really: you three hilarious hosts, plus an alliterative party name? Sign me up. I hope I followed the rules right. You know I got on Twitter just so I could do this! ;) Now my house is even dustier than before, but who cares? Happy Valentines to you and your lovies. I'm using that artisan, locally made, bean-to-bar chocolate my husband got me for Christmas to make a chocolate tart which is comprised almost solely of melted chocolate and beaten egg whites folded together and then baked. The result is something akin to chocolate nirvana. Thanks for being a hostess with the mostess!

I'm so glad you got into the game, because you definitely make the party so much more funner! So, how quickly did you all devour that delicious tart?
