It's time for another round of 5 After 5!  In case you missed it, last week's list was 5 of your favorite salads and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here - then catch up on all the old editions here.

Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.

And this series is a link party, so be sure to scroll down and join in all the fun with us this week!

List 5 books you're planning to read this fall

We're got a thing for books over here, so there's always a pretty large stack of tomes waiting to be read at any given time.

My list is waaaay longer than five, but here are the titles I'll be reaching for first:

1.  Hipster Christianity

I've actually started this one already, but hey - it is fall, so I can add it to the list, right?

Does it sometimes seem like church today is just another mass-media venue?  This book addresses that.

What does McCracken have to say about this movement?  I'm not sure yet, but his history of all things cool and hip has been interesting so far.

2.  The Happiness Dare

I really enjoyed reading The Happiness Project last year, so this other chipper title definitely caught my eye.

Even if you're already a pretty happy person like me, you probably could handle being even happier, right?  But is that just some frivolous thought, or something God wants for us, too?

Guess we'll all have to read to find out...

3.  For the Love

I have to be honest and say that I actually have no clue what this is about, but anything Jen Hatmaker has got to be great.

(Did you ever read 7?  I totally want to read it again...maybe I'll add it to my stack...)

4.  Into the Wild

A recent college graduate sells everything and disappears into the wilds of Alaska.

His frozen body turns up later.

What happened?  And what made this man give up a promising future for the unknown?

I just have to read and find out.

5.  Savage Inequalities

We're all familiar with the disparity of education in differing socioeconomic neighborhoods, but do we really know how wide the gulf is between them?

Kozol set out to answer this question and I'm planning to ride along with him.

6.  Cape Breton Road

I know, I know.  I can't count.

But I realized I should make sure to have at least one fiction book on my list, so my five became six.

G actually brought this one home for me - he just happened to notice it sitting on the library shelf and knew I'd be intrigued, since I always speak so fondly of my travels around Cape Breton.

Plus, this gal's one of my favorites, and she hails from there as well.

For next week:

List 5 of your favorite soups

We guzzle down plenty of soup around here, but we especially love eating it when the leaves start changing and weather turns cooler (in other parts of the country, at least) because it helps us pretend that we're actually experiencing a little bit of autumn ourselves.

I can't wait to add your favorite soups to our weekly menu!

And now, here's this week's link party!  Two other fabulous bloggers have teamed up with me to create lists of five each week and we hope that you'll join us, too!

That's right, every post will be read, pinned and tweeted!

Every Saturday, just stop by one of our three blogs to add your own list of five, then pop over and read as many other posts as you're able to each week - treat it like a true party and really mix it up and mingle with our fun little community!

The rules are simple:  just write your own list following the prompt each week (feel free to interpret it loosely - or in a unique way!), follow each of the three hosts on the social media channel of your choice, and then get into the spirit of the party by grabbing your favorite beverage or snack and reading the lists of the other party-goers.
