Project Snapshot - Week 160

Each week, Project Snapshot captures a memory from the past few days - either with a camera, words, or both.

Time passes in the blink of an eye - see which treasured memory will join the year's collection for this week:

My Snapshot(s)

I am a huge fan of Riverdance. Like, know-every-part-by-heart-and-have-since-I-first-saw-a-blurb-about-it-on-PBS waaay back just after it showed up at Eurovision's contest back in 1994.

No one knew what in the heck I was talking about for years, but because of PBS and listening to the score over (& over & over), I was able to obsess over my obscure love for the show in my typical syncopated fashion until the rest of the world discovered it and it became a huge phenomenon here in the US.

I've seen it live at least three times, but maybe more (I've lost count), so I was beyond excited when G took me to see the 20th Anniversary of the production that was on tour this year.

He expected to hate it, to spend a couple hours "making it through in order to do something nice for my wife," but he ended up really enjoying it - not to his crazy-wife's level, but I bet he'd be happy to go see it again for its 40th anniversary tour.

We even got to extend our date and go out for fondue afterwards. G had a gift certificate from a student and since Grammy and Papa were at our house playing with Gv, we ended up having a great just-the-two-of-us day.
