At last week's party, we couldn't stop snickering at silly dogs.
Next week is Mardi Gras, so we decided to share a little of the madness at this week's party.
Since we live fairly close to a similar collection of craziness known as Gasparilla, there are always beads coming out of everyone's ying-yangs around here.
While it's easy to find something to do with all those beads if you're teaching in the classroom (fill your treasure box for free!), it's otherwise pretty difficult to find a use for all those baubles - even if you're just dumping them into the dress-up bin at the Dugger's house!
That's why I decided to highlight some clever craft projects using leftover beads.
You could turn them into something else to wear, like a new necklace:
Shoes:
Or even a dress!
Turn them into a wreath:
Or decorative trees:
Or use them to fancy-up some bottles!
But my favorite ideas are these works of art, which I'm totally wanting to try sometime this year:
Well, maybe not the chair, but wouldn't that be just the most awesome statement piece, in the right house?
Now time for the new stuff!

ReplyDeleteMy dearest Lisa,
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! For so many reasons...
1. THANK YOU, thank you, thank you for giving me the thrill and honor of being your feature! Seriously, this is the best thing, because this is the best party goin'.
2. "There are always beads coming out of everyone's ying-yangs around here." (Cue snort of laughter.)
3. That bead chair! I don't think it screams "1900s farmhouse," but it sure screams fun and fabulous for someone's house!
4. I am SO not sorry to be beyond the bead years.
xoxo,
Guilty Chocoholic Mama
All the bead ideas were so creative but I think the wreath was my fave!
