I don't think I'll ever get tired of reading about this furry family and since Gv loves them just as much as I do, I've set the goal to add every single one to our collection.

That's why I was so excited to check twelve more off that wishlist with this single treasury of stories:

Even though I knew this title was on its way to me, I was surprised when this fabulous storybook showed up at our door.

The oversize format and sturdy, padded cover really set this book apart as something special -- screaming, "perfect read-aloud" before you even crack open the first page.

With a few exceptions, my favorite bedtime read-aloud books are collections like this that seem just a little more special than a single paperback story.

Whether you choose bedtime, lap time, or just any random 5-minute story time to share these classic tales with your youngster, this book will become a favorite as readers see the Bear cubs in action as they tackle tricky subjects.

The book is part of the Living Lights series, which means that each story will help your children learn how God wants them to live every day.

This story gives you the perfect excuse to teach the classic fingerplay to your child, if you haven't already!

The collection covers how to be good friends, how to play fairly, where to find courage, how to forgive, and so much more in addition to wonderful, full-page artwork of those lovable bears.

These bears have been around for a long time, but the topics they cover are timeless!

I think this book is a perfect selection to read to your smallest cub all the way up through the elementary years. (Of course, in case you couldn't tell, I still enjoy reading about these guys, so I don't really think they can ever really be outgrown!)

The stories are simple and full of some good, old-fashioned,(that's a positive for me -- remember, I'm the gal who loves reading Cherry Ames!) appropriate lessons for your little ones. Grab a copy of this title here and add it to your home library today!

They never disappoint me, that's for sure!
We love collections too! My favorite of the Berenstain Bears so far is their Science one! It's my very favorite for kindergarten science! Thanks for sharing this at Booknificent Thursday on Mommynificent.com this week!

Oooh, I don't think I've ever seen the science one -- I'll have to go hunt it down! Thanks for the suggestion!
I'm so happy to hear that these beautiful bears are still around and that more generations will be enjoying them. My mom read them to me when I was little and that more than 40 years ago and my kids still have some of theirs and they're both late teens ;-)
