The goal of this post is to capture a memory from the past week, either with a camera, words, or both.  Time passes in the blink of an eye and this will create a collection of treasured memories from throughout the year.

My Snapshot(s)

You know when there's one of those 3-day weekends and it's really nice to have your hubby home an extra day, but then it completely throws you off your schedule and you totally forget what day it is and then just when you crawl into bed at night you finally realize you've just lived through a Tuesday (not a Monday) and forgotten all about your Monday snapshot post, so then you haul yourself back out to the family room to boot up the computer, which takes fifteen bazillion years because it's an older desktop that has to crank through every era since the Stone Age just to load the home screen and then when it finally does, you realize that it's been one of those weeks when Every. Single. Photo. was all blurry and out of focus because apparently your adorable little girl just wasn't able to hold still for even a second due to all the excitement that all the things brought to her world and so then you finally just give up and post one of those fuzzy photos anyway, because you realize that the whole point of this post is to capture a memory from the past week and hey, sometimes those are fuzzy, too?

Yup, that's the way things have been going around here.

On the flip side, we did have some unexpected fun on Labor Day, in the form of free Chik-Fil-A sandwiches for all three of us due to the fact that we arrived at the counter sporting team shirts.  Gv was the most mainstream of our little group, decked out in a White Sox playoff shirt that drooped past her knees.  I wore a collared skating club shirt from a year I took my team to Sectionals and G wore his purple Oxford Rowing shirt, which I am constantly trying to sneak out of his closet and onto my pillow, because it's the world's softest shirt ever, next to my Concordia Seminary shirt that is now so thin you can count the threads in the weave...

After our free bonus lunch, we took a 45-minute pit stop (because parking's free the first hour) on the top floor of our airport's short-term parking to watch the planes take off and land.  And count cars.  And taxis.  And red and blue terminal trams.

Always a good time.

Side note:  I just realized that we went to the airport last year on this same exact date to watch planes - how funny is that?

Today was full of fun with Grammy and Papa and yet every photo I took of them playing with her continued to turn out fuzzy.  Just too much energy in this one.

So, here's the winning photo:

The pink bear has apparently passed out from raisin overload...

Her new kick has been to ask for some raisins to put in a bowl to feed her starving animals.  Notice how she arranges them so carefully around the "trough" to ensure that no one misses out?  And she makes sure to include not one, but two cups of water, because gosh, raisins can make you thirsty...

And she loves them so much, she makes sure they get water in the copper cup, because ice-cold water in a copper cup is the best thing ever - amiright Johnson family?

What was your favorite memory from this past week?  I'd love to hear about it!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
