It's time for another round of 5 After 5!  In case you missed it, last week's list was 5 of your favorite games and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here.

Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.

And if you've posted your own 5 After 5 list on your blog, I've turned this series into a link party - so be sure to get your own 5 things added below (or leave your answers in today's comments if you're not a blogger).  I loved reading everyone's comments from last week and I really can't wait to see what you share today!

List 5 of Your Favorite Flowers

I'm not really a flowers kind of gal, but there are a few that I really do brighten up my day and make me smile whenever I see them.  Of course, most of these are of the bulb sort, which means they won't grow anywhere around here...

1.  Tulips

With their straight stalks and smooth petals, these sleek flowers are the perfect embodiment of my decorating style (modern, with all clean lines).

This is my favorite stage of the flower

Until we traveled to the Netherlands a few years ago, I'd had no clue there were so many varieties of these things.

2.  Hydrangeas

These flowers are almost a little too frilly for me, but whenever i see a ton of them in one place, i think they look really cool.

3.  Sunflowers

These flowers actually do grow around here and now that i think of it, it's probably time to plant another round of these cheery blooms for us to enjoy.

4.  Gerbera Daisies

i think these brighten a room even more than sunflowers and I love that they come in some many different colors.

You can see some bright fuschia daisies peeking out from under the orange ones on this cart at the Aalsmeer Flower Auction

My favorite is the pop of color that an orange daisy can bring to a room.

5.  Daffodils

With their sunny yellow disposition, these bulbs can't help but cheer me up!  I remember walking around St. James's Park early one spring, just as beds of these flowers were bursting forth with color - announcing the end of winter and brightening a typical cold, gray, rainy London day.

Seeing their sunny faces looking out at me just makes me smile.

Are you lookin' at me?

For next week:

List 5 of Your Favorite Smells

I was going to say "scents," because it sounds so much classier, but then I was afraid you would think I meant only perfumes.  I'm sure Oscar the Grouch's mom loves the smell of garbage and we all know PepĂ© Le Pew holds a certain affinity for skunk, so who knows what unusual smells you might love.  Even if you're not a blogger, I hope you participate. Start thinking of your list!

What's your list?  I'd love to hear!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
