It's time for another round of 5 After 5!  In case you missed it, last week's list was 5 of your favorite snack foods and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here.

Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.

And this series is now a link party, so be sure to scroll down and join in all the fun with us this week!

List 5 things you couldn't be paid to do

There are some things I'd choose to do, some things I would only do if I had a really, really good reason, and then some things you couldn't pay me to do!

What types of things are these?  Well, usually the kind of stuff that pops up on shows like The Amazing Race.

Whenever I watch that show, I keep up a constant stream of (one-sided) dialogue with the contestants - "Come oooon, it's no big deal - get over it and just eat the bug!" or "Uh, yeah, there's no way you could pay me even a million dollars to do that!"

Here's what tops my list of "no ways":

1.  Skydive

I spent my first summer in Colorado (I was there to train for skating, in case you're new here) playing round after round of putt-putt while the rest of my roommates headed up the ski lift in Winter Park to go alpine sliding.

I was just too scared of that ski lift, because there would be nothing under me but that itty-bitty seat.

Do you really think I'd jump out of a plane?

No.

2.  Drink snake wine

I'm a big fan of the series Globe Trekker and I'm pretty much okay with whatever crazy things they try as they travel around the world, but when Justine Shapiro drank the snake wine in Vietnam, I knew that was going just a bit too far.

No siree Bob, the only blood I'll be sucking is from the tip of my finger when I poke it while sewing on a button or something!

3.  Participate in an Indecent Proposal

G will be happy to read this one, I'm sure.

I can remember seeing this movie when it came out and while one million dollars is an awful lot of money, there is just no way I could do something like this.

EwEwEw.

No.

4.  Bungee jump

If I couldn't go up a ski lift (I actually finally did, the second summer), then you know darned well there's no way I'm jumping off a cliff or something with only a little rubber band attached to my ankles!

5.  Go into space

Most people I meet say they'd jump at the chance to go into space (some would even pay a quarter of a million dollars to do it), but I'm happy to keep my feet right here on good old planet Earth.

Besides, you know they make you go through all kinds of crazy testing before you can be cleared to go (even if you pay) - and this clip has been burned into my mind ever since I saw it:

(the part I'm talking about starts about 30 seconds in)

No-o, thank you!

For next week:

List 5 of your summer traditions

I haven't decided whether to focus on summer traditions that we're following now, or what mine were like as a kid, but either way, when I think of summer, I think fun!

And now, here's this week's link party!  Two other fabulous bloggers have teamed up with me to create lists of five each week and we hope that you'll join us, too!

That's right, every post will be read, pinned and tweeted!

Every Saturday, just stop by one of our three blogs to add your own list of five, then pop over and read as many other posts as you're able to each week - treat it like a true party and really mix it up and mingle with our fun little community!

The rules are simple:  just write your own list following the prompt each week (feel free to interpret it loosely - or in a unique way!), follow each of the three hosts on the social media channel of your choice, and then get into the spirit of the party by grabbing your favorite beverage or snack and reading the lists of the other party-goers.

Your Hosts:

Samantha, at Motivated DaysFacebook // Twitter // Pinterest // Google+
