Friday Frivolity - Oktoberfest

It's time for this week's edition of Friday Frivolity - the blog party for all things fun, funny, hopeful & happy!

Just wait until you see what we dug up for this week's theme...

At last week's partywe looked at hobbits.

This is the time of year that kicks off Oktoberfest, so we've made that our theme here this week.

My mouth gets all drooly thinking about all the yummy food memories I have from Germany, so I'm sharing photos of some of the best vittles I had while traveling over there:
Beer as big as my head!

Pork

All kinds of pork...

Crazy meal with this giant skewer (that of course, includes pork!)

Sauerkraut

Pork

More pork

Oh, look! Another dish, with -- what's that? Pork!

I don't even have to say it...

Yes, this is also pork, but these pork knuckles are the stuff dreams are made of!

Schnitzel -- made with, you guessed it, pork!

Wurst (which is still pork!)

Mmmm...those were some tasty food memories, but now I'm craving some pork!

Maybe it's time to take another trip over there, at least from our living room:

You'd better believe there's some pork on this menu!

Now time for the new stuff!

The featured post for Syncopated Mama this week is........

Ultimate Salsa Recipe by the Bearded Hiker! He had me at salsa (Mmmmm....I love salsa! So much that the chip is merely the conduit for the delicious stuff and half the time I could just eat it by itself with a spoon!), but then really won me over with his "IWTPFWIWI" acronym!

Click on over to see what in the heck that means!
