The transition to chapter books is a tricky one in the life of a new reader, but this book will help make the journey as smooth as possible:

We love coming across new Berenstain Bears book to add to our collection (and get a step closer to owning them all), but we hadn't been aware of the fact that there were also chapter books out there!

This title wasn't just a chapter book, either, but an early reader chapter book.

That means a larger font, more illustrations and easier text for newer readers to navigate.

The teacher in me loves finding books like this, because there's just such a scariness out there for new readers when they're ready to make the transition to chapter books.

They need some scaffolding and support before they can gain the confidence to tackle full chapter books and this new Berenstain Bears book does just that.

After all, who better to hold the reader's hand than the familiar family of The Berenstain Bears?

This book is also part of the Living Lights series, which means it incorporates (a bit of) faith into the text, along with the great moral lessons that the Bears always bring.

If you've got a new(ish) reader in your house, then pick up this or one of the other titles here and help make the transition to chapter books a little easier!
