I'd had no clue that Michael W. Smith and VeggieTales co-creator Mike Nawrocki had teamed up to write books:
Turns out, this is the third in a collection of Nurturing Steps® titles that will help lull your little ones to sleep with the adorable stuffed animal characters, the Nighty Nights.
Nurturing Steps® was created by Smith to enliven the lives of infants and toddlers with hope and faith through music and storytelling.
All three books (Nighty Night & Good Night and Let's Get Ready for Bed, as well as this new Christmas-themed one) look gentle and sweet and could be perfect for reading aloud at bedtime.
But I'm so glad this holiday title is the one we have first.
The main text follows the familiar rhythm of the classic Clement Moore poem, "The Night Before Christmas" to tell its tale with the storyline weaving in the song "Silent Night" as an added bonus.
It would make a fabulous addition to your holiday book collection and could establish a Christmas Eve bedtime reading tradition for years to come!
Even though the targeted audience is infants and toddlers, I think this sweet selection is the perfect example of a board book that can last for years and years.
