I remember how excited Gv was to pick up an "I Can Read!" book and read through it all by herself for the first time, so I just love that the series has added this title to the collection:
This version of Jesus' birth takes about five of the stories from this story Bible and combines them into one book.
Many of the illustrations are the same, but there are new ones, too. The text has also been simplified even more, making this a great title to include in a holiday collection for your newest readers.
Even though we already have the full Beginner's Bible and Gv is well past the emergent-reader stage, she wants to hold on to this book. I'm okay with that, because we can just keep this version tucked in with the rest of our Christmas picture books to enjoy each year.
Having the full Christmas story set apart on its own makes total sense and we always enjoy the extra illustrations included in these editions.
Pick up a copy here to add to your holiday collection and watch as your newest readers dive into the Christmas story all by themselves!
Also, be sure to click on over and read all about our Shepherd on the Search Journey Around the World materials, then grab your kit here in time to add some cultural, Christ-centered fun to your holiday countdown!
Do your kids enjoy reading these "I Can Read" books by themselves? I'd love to hear! Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
