I've shared before how much we love The Berenstain Bears, so Gv and I were super-excited to add another of their books to our collection:
This book is full of all the typical fun of a Berenstain Bears title, but what made us especially excited to add it to our holiday book collection is the inclusion of so many great Christmas carols.
Lyrics to "Jingle Bells," "Joy to the World," "Good King Wenceslas," "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," "Deck the Halls," "Away in a Manger" and "O Come, All Ye Faithful" adorn the pages of this delightful story of the Bear family as they join a group of carolers for some Christmas Eve fun.
The only drawback to reading a book full of so many songs? Your child will make you sing them.
All.
Loudly.
Over and over again.
Which is just swell, if you've got a fabulous singing voice, but that is definitely not something I possess and poor G's ears were suffering something awful by the time I finished the book!
(Gv, bless her heart, has not yet reached the point where she realizes how much smarter it would be to have us "sing in our heads" if I'm doing the reading!)
This book also has an added gimmick, in that it includes 4 postcards and a holiday door hanger inside:
These additions don't do a ton for me, but Gv couldn't wait to tear them out and begin filling them out for her friends!
Pick up a copy here and join in all the caroling fun with your family!
Also, be sure to click on over and read all about our Shepherd on the Search Journey Around the World materials, then grab your kit here in time to add some cultural, Christ-centered fun to your holiday countdown!
Do your kids beg you to sing along with lyrics in books, or are you like me and would rather sing in your head? I'd love to hear! Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.

These Berenstain Bears books are fairly inexpensive and easy to give as Advent gifts, stocking stuffers, or as a little bonus attached to a Christmas gift.
