Gv was excited about this book, because Grammy and Papa used to have a little dog named Piper:
It's only been 3 days since the book arrived, and Gv has read it every single day since -- she just loves it!
I read through it this morning and thought it was cute. It's a story about two fun little dogs and the adventure they had when "their people" left them for a trip to the beach.
I loved how the author used the term "their people" and feel that this is a book that dog-lovers will definitely enjoy and relate to.
I also loved how Mabel wrote haiku poems -- the teacher in me couldn't resist sticking this on the poetry shelf alongside this book to use as an example each year when we focus on writing poems.
The fabulous illustrations are another plus to adding this book to your home library.
I feel this book would be most enjoyed by families who really love their puppy pets, although it's a really cute title for anyone who wants to put a smile on their face. Get your own copy here and join Piper & Mabel for their wild adventure today!
Is your family wild about dogs? I'd love to hear! Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
