I don't care how old you are, lift-the-flap books never get old:

This new board book is perfect for snuggling up to read at bedtime and is a great introduction to colors for your little one.

I'm always a sucker for fun rhyming books, so this one immediately appealed to me.

The animal-family illustrations are adorable in this book!

Despite being out of the board-book phase, Gv and I enjoyed reading this book together. I still love reading rhyming books like this out loud to her, despite the fact that she's perfectly capable of reading them herself.

I will say that a couple of the rhymes just didn't work for me. Even after reading through the text several times, the cadence just didn't feel quite right on them, so that's my only critique of this otherwise adorable book.

If you're looking for a cute book to read at bedtime or one that focuses on colors or that has lots of flaps to lift, then you'll want to pick up a copy for yourself.

Do you get as picky about rhyming books as I do? I'd love to hear!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
