We've always enjoyed encountering bison on our summer road trips, so I figured we'd have fun with this picture book:

We weren't disappointed -- the text is loaded with rhyme and the illustrations cracked us up and the story of Bryson overcoming a challenge with a little bravery and self-confidence is sure to boost everyone's spirits.

This book would be the perfect addition to National Park visitor center gift shop shelves and we'll be on the hunt for it the next time we're visiting one out west.

This book would also be so fun to give kids as an on-the-road gift on a big trip out west -- or even as a present to announce western travel plans at the beginning of the summer!

It would also be perfect to add to the reading stack during your home learning time, whether you use it for a focus on large mammals, indigenous history, or geography!

Pick up a copy here and encourage bravery in your children while enjoying a fun animal-based tale!
