The Jesus Storybook Bible Advent Activity Book

Instead of an Advent calendar, try something more interactive by working through this fun and faith-filled activity book with your kids this year!

I received a free copy of this product as a member of Zondervan's Kidz Review Krew in exchange for writing a review.  All opinions are my own.

We continue to enjoy this storybook Bible because of its fabulous illustrations, so we were excited to see what this new coordinating activity book would be like:

I've reviewed several books by Sally Lloyd-Jones recently, but our original introduction to her work remains our favorite.

Even though this new activity book arrived on our doorstep after Advent had already started this year, Gv and I decided to pick and choose some of the activities in the time we have left and then use the book more fully next year.

I'm especially excited to punch out the included Jesse Tree ornaments and find just the right thing (I'm about to order these, but these would also work) to glue them onto to hang throughout the season next year.

We were also especially surprised & excited to discover several recipes included in the book, as well as the many crafts that we'd anticipated it containing.

The Jesus Storybook Bible Advent Activity Book is a journey through the Bible stories in both the Old and New Testaments that lead to Christmas. It includes 24 days of crafts along with songs, recipes, and activities to celebrate Advent, with easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions and color photos as well as variations on the activities to make them appropriate and accessible for all ages and families.

Pretty much all of the supplies that you need for these activities are commonly found around the house or easy to obtain, which cuts down on the prep time during an already-overloaded season.

This book would be the perfect complement to my Celebrate the Season posts, if you follow any of those ideas from year to year.

It would also be a fabulous book to use all year long if you work through the Bible stories with your child like I describe in my Latticed Learning faith series.

Grab a copy of this fun book here and finish out the Christmas countdown with a few of the included activities, and then set the book aside knowing that you've already got a new tradition for next year all planned out!
