I recently reviewed this other enjoyable Turnabout Tales book, so we were excited to add another to our collection so quickly:

This second title in the The Turnabout Tales series is a fun picture book biography of Tad Lincoln, his relationship with his father President Abraham Lincoln, and a story about a parent's love for his son and the wisdom of a child.

It's full of humor and focuses on Tad befriending a turkey meant to be holiday dinner, which consequently starts the tradition of the presidential turkey pardon when Abe learns a lesson about mercy and shows the impact of empathy and understanding towards others.

Aside from enjoying Tad's mischievous and adventurous spirit, children will be inspired by his resilience and determination as they learn how he overcame challenges learning to read and dealing with a speech impediment.

Pick up a copy of this book here and introduce your kids to the history behind a favorite holiday tradition!
