Welcome back to Latticed Learning! This year, we're continuing to learn while we play - repeating many of our favorites from last year while adding in all sorts of new activities as well.
This day's post is devoted to our weekly Bible stories - some weeks have more activities than others, but each lesson will help your little one grow closer to God!

We think books are the best around here, so it's always fun to discover great new titles. I wasn't familiar with any specific books for this week's lesson, but I did find two that look really great:

This video matched up with our Bible lesson perfectly.I discovered this video from a great new series.
And this and this have become new favorites.

Play and Create
We did a few things to learn about Joshua and the fall of Jericho:I printed out the books Rahab and the Spies and Joshua and the Battle of Jericho from this site (scroll down to find them).
I also printed out a single set of these for Gv to use as sequencing cards for the week.
We spent a ton of time hanging out in our sheet fort, which represented the tabernacle. I had planned to do this last week, but ran out of time and figured it would work just as well now.
We covered two toilet paper tubes with construction paper so that Gv could go "spy out" the land with her binoculars.
We played "find the spies" with our peg people from way back on this week and some random plastic cups. Basically, I just channeled my inner street scammer and played the shell game with her, but don't worry, no money was involved.
We put out a red rope like Rahab so that we'd be safe when the walls came tumbling down.
And the best activity was when we stood up the couch cushions, grabbed something noisy to blow (Gv opted for her beloved duck whistle) and re-enacted the march around Jericho - ending of course with much wild floor rolling, once the walls were down.
