It's time for another round of 5 After 5! In case you missed it, last week's list was best birthday memories and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here - then catch up on all the old editions here.
Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.
And this series is a link party, so be sure to scroll down and join in all the fun with us this week!
List your 5 favorite Bible verses
I have a lot more than five favorites, but here are a few that top my list:
1. Philippians 4:6-7
2. I Thessalonians 5:16-18
3. Matthew 6:34
4. I John 4:7-8
5. Galatians 5:22-23
For next week:
List 5 great April Fool's jokes or pranks
Do you do all sorts of crazy things for April Fool's Day? I can't wait to see!
And now, here's this week's link party! Another fabulous blogger has teamed up with me to create a list of five each week and we hope that you'll join us, too!
That's right, every post will be read, pinned and tweeted!
Every Saturday, just stop by one of our blogs to add your own list of five, then pop over and read as many other posts as you're able to each week - treat it like a true party and really mix it up and mingle with our fun little community!
The rules are simple: just write your own list following the prompt each week (feel free to interpret it loosely - or in a unique way!), follow both of the hosts on the social media channel of your choice, and then get into the spirit of the party by grabbing your favorite beverage or snack and reading the lists of the other party-goers.
Your Hosts:
Samantha, at Motivated Days: Twitter // Pinterest // Google+
What's your list? I'd love to hear! Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
Also, if you don't want to miss a single minute of fun around here, be sure to sign up for free updates and then look forward to having each post delivered right to your inbox!

ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up and sharing with us at #OvertheMoon link party.
ReplyDeleteThose are great verses. I've never been good at picking a favorite verse. There's just so much goodness in there. :) -- But, one of my favorites is in Galatians (5:1, I believe) "It is for freedom that Christ has set you free." Thanks for linking #ChasingCommunity, Lisa. :) ((hug))
ReplyDeleteGreat verses!
ReplyDeleteMy top favorite is Heb. 13:5b "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Then Psalm 73:25,26 "Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever."
Psalm 73:28 "it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works."
Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God."
Psalm 139:1,2 NASB "O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You understand my thought from afar."
These are some of my favorites too. These always help with the negative thoughts and worries that come upon me.
ReplyDeleteMy Favorite all time verse, which is my life motto, is Proverbs 17:17 Love At All Times. It is both a challenge and reminder that LOVE is all that is needed in each and every situation.
Of course, John 3:16 is another favorite because it wraps up the entire gospel in one verse.
Jesus Wept John 11:35 is a short and deep verse.
Song of Solomon 2:4 He brought me to his banqueting table and his banner over me is LOVE.
Song of Solomon 4:7 You are all together Lovely, my darling, there is no flaw in you
