I'm sure pretty much everyone is familiar with Hillsong worship songs, since many of their classic refrains fill so many churches each week.

And ever since VBS season this past summer, Gv has been playing the CDs she brought home from each week-long camp, belting out the tunes in her room on pretty much a daily basis.

So when this DVD arrived, I knew she would be excited:

Through fun experiences, meaningful music and ministry that encourages kids to participate, Hillsong Kids has a mission to present Jesus Christ and His Church in a relevant way, creating moments which children will never forget.

This DVD (and the matching CD) is their latest offering and its 25 minutes of play time includes not only classic songs like "My Best Friend," "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" and "What a Beautiful Name," but brand new declarations of faith such as "As the World Shakes" and "Heaven is Our Home."

Can You Believe It!? - Songs of Truth is a wonderful addition to your home (or church!) worship-music library. The songs are engaging, yet still convey important truths and the videos provide some added fun to dance along with at home alone or with a group.

The DVD opens with a fun, introductory "show" that reminded Gv and I of sections of these beloved videos. Funny Man Dan gives a bit of background and includes interviews with some of the singers from the album's songs, as well as sharing some of the accompanying music videos.

I was surprised when Gv said she didn't care so much for the music videos, but she definitely enjoyed dancing and singing to the songs -- and the lyric videos for all the songs that were on this DVD made singing along to even brand-new songs a snap!

If your kids love video versions of songs, then they'd love the DVD. If they're like Gv and just care mainly about the music, then I'd go for the CD instead. Churches will want to grab both versions, because this music collection is definitely one you'll want to incorporate into your children's church program right away!
