I received a free copy of this product as a member of Zondervan's Kidz Review Krew in exchange for writing a review. All opinions are my own.
We have a lot of Christmas picture books in our holiday stash, but I was super-excited to add this one, centered around the time of Advent:
I've reviewed loads of great titles from this author in the past (this one is especially fun to visit again each year when I bring down the Christmas books from their highest-shelf storage), but we were just so tickled to receive this one, focused on Advent.
'Twas the Season of Advent is written in the familiar rhyme scheme of Clement C. Moore's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and is a wonderful holiday read aloud for the whole family.
Written in both prose and poetry, this 25-day devotional picture book brings Advent to life featuring stories from the Old and New Testaments.
Each day's reading begins with a short poetry section, followed by devotional text that builds anticipation for Jesus' birth.
The second page for the day contains the jewel-toned artwork as well as a prayer.
I've said before how much I enjoy rhyming picture books, but I'm honestly most tickled to add such a beautiful book to our holiday collection that focuses on Advent.
Wouldn't this title be a great addition to your collection, too? Pick up a copy for yourself here as you anticipate the birth of Christ!
